About

Hello!

(Sorry, am I being too friendly? - not that I think that that's a problem at all- too many hellos!) I am Akshita Wadhwana. I am a graduate in Film and Video Design from MIT Institue of Design.

I have lived in Delhi for about 23 years of my life, while shifting about for random amounts of time to Bhopal, Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad

My love for film lay dormant until I actually made one, I didn't realise until then how much the medium consumed off of me. I remember when I used to be told to go to bed at 10pm, exactly at 11pm when the coast was clear I would sneak in to the TV room and watch all the films that came on at night on the World Channel. I didn't understand why I was watching a Japanese film in the middle of the night, I definitely didn't understand the film but in my faux act of rebellion; the movies somewhere made a home in my heart.

I have come to realise in the recent past that I have a sense of curiosity that drives me. I am never afraid to try new things; judge the outcome and decide my opinion on it. Therefore, 'Life is like a box full of chocolates; you never know what you're going to get'  (Forrest Gump stole my heart) became quite an important quote for me. With film as well, I am not afraid to experiment, to see what works and what doesn't.

I love learning and experiencing the world of film.

I am excited to see where this journey takes me.
